Police are investigating the death of a woman on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. Police were called to a home on Gunnarwala Street in Currimundig on Sunday afternoon following reports of a disturbance and found the 47-year-old woman with non-life-threatening injuries. She was rushed to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital but her condition deteriorated and she died a day later.

A 58-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault occasioning injury (domestic violence) and obstructing a police officer. He is currently in custody and will appear in Maroochydore Local Court on January 6.
