A 29-year-old Queensland man has been charged with multiple offences, including rape, as he is investigated for the alleged sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl. The man is alleged to have used social media to communicate with the girl before travelling to a small town in South Burnett, north of Brisbane, on December 16. Detectives allege he had met the girl in person before the alleged offences took place.Yesterday, detectives executed a search warrant at an address in Mount Coolum and arrested a 29-year-old local man. He has been charged with rape, indecent assault on a child under 12, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
