A NSW man charged with incest and child sex offences has been extradited to the ACT to face court. The ACT Police Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Squad launched an investigation after receiving a report that a 34-year-old man was suspected of sexually assaulting a child in his care between 2018 and 2020. Additional allegations were subsequently made by another child known to him.
The man is due to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court today. (ACT Court) Police allege the man sexually assaulted the second child on multiple occasions between September and November 2024. The 34-year-old was arrested in Coffs Harbour on December 19 and extradited to the ACT yesterday. He has been charged with two counts of incest, six counts of sexual intercourse with a child under 16 and committing an indecent act with a person under 16.
