An investigation is underway after a teenager showed up at a Sydney hospital with a gunshot wound.The 17-year-old boy presented to Bankstown Hospital at 7.40pm yesterday accompanied by an 18-year-old man.The 17-year-old had a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his right leg.

(Kate Geraghty)The emergency room staff called police upon the realisation that the teenager had been shot.When police arrived both teenagers allegedly refused to answer the officer's questions.The 18-year-old was arrested for allegedly concealing an indictable offence, as well as allegedly assaulting two police officers and resisting arrest.One police officer suffered minor injuries.As part of investigations, police located a Blue Nissan Pulsar which was parked on the corner of Eldridge Road and Artegall Street in Bankstown.Police believe the pair drove to the hospital in the car.

(Kate Geraghty)The man was taken to Bankstown Police Station where is further alleged that he made a number of threats towards officers.He was charged with six offences including concealing serious offences, resisting arrest, assaulting a police officer and intimidating a police officer.He was refused bail and will appear in Parramatta Local Court today.Anyone with information about the alleged shooting is urged to contact Crime Stoppers or Bankstown Police Station.
