Police airwing has captured the moment a man attempted to flee the scene after a minibus crashed following a chase in Melbourne's south-east overnight.Victoria Police believe a group of five men had earlier shouted threats at residents living inside a home on Strzelecki Court in Cranbourne North, before attempting to enter about 11.15pm.After proving unsuccessful, the group allegedly entered the backyard, grabbed a dirt bike and loaded into a minibus.

(Victoria Police)Shortly after, police intercepted a Ford Territory nearby, which had been seen travelling alongside the minivan.The 49-year-old driver of the Territory was arrested before police, with the assistance of the airwing, began pursuing the minivan.The chase continued as police deployed stop sticks, damaging the minivan's two front tyres.The minivan stopped at the intersection of South Gippsland Highway and Thompsons Road.

(Nine)Three of the four men inside the minibus surrendered to police while the fourth, who tried to run, was arrested nearby following a short foot pursuit.The five men, aged 35 to 56, will be interviewed by detectives.Police believe the incident was targeted and the investigation continues.
